Water Resources Engineer (Software & AI)

Smart Bhujal is building the future of water intelligence by combining hydrology, geospatial analytics, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We develop products that help governments, industries, consultants, and communities make better water decisions using data.

We're looking for a Water Resources Engineer who is comfortable working at the intersection of water science, software, GIS, and AI.

What you'll do

Analyze groundwater, surface water, and climate datasets
Support hydrological and hydraulic modeling projects
Work with GIS, remote sensing, and spatial datasets
Develop Python scripts and automation workflows
Assist in building water intelligence software products
Use AI tools and LLMs to improve analysis and reporting

What we're looking for

Degree in Civil, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or Geoinformatics
Understanding of hydrology and water resources
Familiarity with QGIS or ArcGIS
Basic Python programming skills
Strong analytical and communication skills

Nice to have

MODFLOW, SWMM, HEC-RAS, EPANET, MIKE, or PCSWMM
Google Earth Engine
Remote sensing and satellite data analysis
PostgreSQL/PostGIS
Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Copilot
