InfoWorks price calculator
At list price, InfoWorks ICM Sewer costs $5,500 per seat per year, InfoWorks ICM Flood $7,500, and InfoWorks WS Pro $10,000. InfoWorks ICM Ultimate is sold by quote only. This calculator turns those prices into what your team pays over a contract term and per study, next to the free EPA engines. It is published by Smart Bhujal, a water modeling and decision support firm that resells none of these packages.

How much does InfoWorks ICM cost?
InfoWorks ICM Sewer is $5,500 per seat per year and InfoWorks ICM Flood is $7,500, the list prices Autodesk announced in June 2025 when it cut the old ICM Standard from $7,500 and renamed it Sewer. Sewer suits pipe networks, with unlimited 1D and limited 2D. Flood suits surface flooding, with unlimited 2D mesh and 1D capped at 1,000 nodes. InfoWorks ICM Ultimate combines both and adds team features such as several modelers working on one model at once; Autodesk and its resellers quote it individually.
How much does InfoWorks WS Pro cost?
InfoWorks WS Pro is listed at $10,000 for a one year, single seat subscription by NOVEDGE, an authorized Autodesk reseller, with renewals listed at $9,500. Prices outside the US vary, and government licenses are priced separately.
Which competing packages publish no price?
None of the usual alternatives to InfoWorks at the same tier list a public price. Each needs a quote from its vendor, which you can enter in the calculator above:
- InfoWorks ICM Ultimate, from Autodesk
- PCSWMM, from CHI
- MIKE+, from DHI
- WaterGEMS and WaterCAD, from Bentley
Is there a free alternative to InfoWorks?
Yes. EPANET for water supply networks and EPA SWMM for sewers and stormwater are free from the US EPA, and their results are accepted by regulators. What they lack is not hydraulic accuracy but workflow: no multi-user editing, no native GIS integration and weaker handling of very large networks. The tradeoffs are set out in InfoWorks alternatives for small teams and PCSWMM vs EPA SWMM.
When is an InfoWorks license worth paying for?
When the model is a long-lived asset that several people edit, covers a whole city, or needs an audit trail because a regulator relies on it. A license costs the same whether the model runs once a year or every day, so the cost per study in the calculator is the number to watch: it falls as use rises, and it is the figure to set against the free engines or against commissioning the work.
Can someone build the model for you instead?
Yes. Smart Bhujal builds and calibrates network models in EPANET and EPA SWMM and runs the hydraulic modeling for utilities and consultancies that would rather not keep a modeler or a license in house. The work is described on the water distribution and stormwater modeling pages.
