The Challenge

Our client was managing irrigation across 2,400 acres using traditional scheduling methods. Farm managers had no real-time visibility into soil moisture levels, weather patterns, or crop water stress indicators. This led to inefficient water usage, inconsistent crop yields, and difficulty in making data-driven irrigation decisions. The agricultural cooperative needed a centralized system to monitor multiple farm locations and optimize water distribution based on actual field conditions.

Field Assessment & Requirements Gathering

Conducted on-site visits to understand existing irrigation practices, soil conditions, and crop rotation patterns. Interviewed farm managers to identify pain points in current water management workflows.

IoT Infrastructure Setup

Installed soil moisture sensors and weather stations across pilot fields. Developed custom firmware for data collection and implemented LoRaWAN network for reliable field-to-cloud communication.
